Prepare to Change is the clinical psychology practice of Dr. Larry Kuhn, offering counseling and therapy services for adults seeking greater clarity, emotional resilience, and more intentional change.

Dr. Kuhn is a licensed psychologist in California and South Carolina. He helps clients identify the deeper patterns beneath distress, distinguish emotional reactions from underlying needs, and develop more adaptive ways of relating to themselves and others.

Appointments

All sessions are conducted online with individual adults. Insurance networks are limited. No weekend or evening appointments. Without insurance, we accept full fee of $190/hour and provide a superbill for you to provide to insurance.

Dr. Kuhn enjoys working collaboratively with individuals, executives, teams, and organizations, helping them to get unstuck. Going beyond reactivity and trying to avoid another crisis or struggle, he helps individuals relieve symptoms, understand the nature and sources of the presenting difficulty, anchor to values and purpose, restore balance, and develop new skills that lead to more effective living and relating. He sees therapy as an opportunity for individuals to explore different outcomes and sees his role as a guide, coming along side to resource, encourage and challenge. Much of his work focuses on creating new skills and using emotions as an resource. To this end, he frequently employs technologies such as self-reflection and assessment to enhance the experience.
